  Who is there

It was one of these days when I couldn't wait to get home. The lessons that day were really exhausting and the only  thing I was thinking about was a lunch and rest. I got into the garden at about two o'clock and everything seemed to be as  usual.

I unlocked the front door and entered the house. To my surprise, Tim, our dog, wasn't waiting for me. I went to the living room and saw something quite strange. He was standing and quietly growling at something. I looked at the other side of the room and spotted a little cat quietly sitting on the top of the armchair. Tim didn't show any signs of relief when I approached him. I made a few slow steps towards the cat, took it in my hands and called Ben. We went to the nearby park together and put the cat there. It didn't have any sign which could direct us to the owner, so this was the best thing we could think of. We hoped it will eventually find its way home. Then we left the park and went home.

When I got home, I did everything the same and sat on the sofa. Suddenly, I heard a mew behind the armchair. I stood up and looked there. It was the same little cat there. I was totally confused. How on the earth it got there even before me? I didn't have a slightest idea. This time a better idea crossed my mind. I called the local vet who came and took the cat to safety.

For the next two weeks, whenever I returned home from school, I had a feeling that it was waiting for me again.
